Aman Machinery Works

Aman Machinery Works is situated at 501 G T Road in the 2nd Block, right on the 1st Main. We are directly opposite Sarpanch Hosiery, which is a big landmark around here. Being on G T Road means there is a constant stream of trucks and buses roaring past our front door. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic, so we are always wiping down our machines. We work on all kinds of industrial machinery here. The shop is fairly large to accommodate the bigger pieces of equipment that get brought in for repairs. We have a chain hoist on the ceiling for lifting the heavy stuff, and it makes a loud rattling sound whenever we use it. The floor is stained with years of grease and spilled oil, but that is to be expected in a machinery shop. We have a small area in the back where we keep the spare parts and some old manuals. Most of our days are spent taking things apart, finding the broken bit, and putting it all back together again. It is a lot of trial and error sometimes. We do not have any fancy titles; we just call ourselves mechanics or workers. We have been here for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change, but the work we do stays pretty much the same. We just keep the gears turning and the engines running.
