Aftab Arts

Aftab Arts is a small workshop on St.No. 7, right at the back side of Preet Palace. We are very close to Jammu Colony, so a lot of people from the neighborhood know where we are. We have been here for years, working on various art and sign projects. It is not a formal studio or a gallery. It is more of a place where we can paint and build things without worrying about making a mess. We mostly do signs for local shops and some decorative work when people ask for it. There are usually just two or three of us here during the day. We like the location because it is quiet enough to work but still close to the main parts of town. We don’t have any big mission statements or corporate goals. We just like making things and helping out people who need a bit of creative work done. Sometimes the work is simple and other times it is a bit more complicated, but we take it as it comes. We don’t spend money on advertising or big signs for ourselves. Most of our work comes from neighbors and people who have seen what we’ve done for others in the area. It is a relaxed way to run a business. We just open up in the morning and see what the day brings us for the workshop.
