A. S. Engineers

A. S. Engineers is right inside Kw Street at number 12574. We are directly across from the industrial estate on Street No. 6. It’s a noisy neighborhood because everyone around here is making something. Our shop fits right in with the rest of them. We have machines that have been running for years, and they still do the job. The floor is concrete and usually covered in a thin layer of metal shavings. We do a lot of custom work, so we are often huddled over a piece of equipment trying to figure out the best way to cut or shape it. It’s not a place for clean clothes. Most of us have stains on our shirts from grease or coolant. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a script. You just call and talk to whoever is closest to the desk. Sometimes it’s hard to hear over the machines, so we have to yell a bit. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about the news or the local traffic. The street outside is always blocked with tempos and delivery trucks. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s an honest way to make a living. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and we know the other shop owners on the street. It’s just a regular engineering shop doing the daily grind.
