Wahid Biryani

Down in Ashiana Colony, Wahid Biryani has been serving the local crowd for a long time. We are located right near the Ashiyana Police Chowki in Lucknow. This makes us a landmark for anyone who lives nearby. We mostly just do biryani here. We spend most of our morning getting the spices and meat just right. Lucknow has such a big food culture. We are just one small part of it in this specific neighborhood. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at. We focus more on what’s happening in the big pots in the kitchen. We get a lot of locals who come in to pick up dinner for their families. We also have a few tables if you want to sit down and eat right away. It gets very busy in the evenings. The smell of the spices usually drifts out onto the street. This usually brings people in. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just us working together to get the food ready for the day. Sometimes we run out of things if the crowd is bigger than usual. We try to plan for it though. We like being part of the Ashiana community and seeing the same faces every week. It’s a simple business built on hard work. These recipes have been around for quite a while now. We just keep doing what we know best for the people here.
