We started Awadh Barbeq And Cafe here in Mahanagar because we wanted a place where people could just sit and eat some grilled food without too much fuss. Being right across from Ritz Restaurant on Mahanagar Road makes it easy to find us if you’re wandering around Gole Market. Azad Park is just a stone's throw away too. It’s not a fancy setup. We have the barbeque going and we try to keep things moving. Some days are busier than others, especially when the evening crowd from the market starts heading home. It gets a bit smoky sometimes but that’s just how it is with grills. We’ve been at this spot in Lucknow for a while now. Most people know us for the smell of the charcoal. We don't really do big advertisements or anything. Most of our regulars just live nearby or work in the shops around Gole Market. It’s a small team here. We handle the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. The tables are basic and the chairs are simple. We just wanted to make sure there was a decent spot to grab a bite near Azad Park. If you are walking down Mahanagar Road, you’ll see our sign. It’s a straightforward kitchen. We do what we can with the space we have. It’s just us doing our thing in this corner of Lucknow, making sure the food is ready when people show up hungry. We usually stay open until late at night now.
