Thikana

If you know Transport Nagar in Lucknow, you know how hectic it gets with all the trucks and people moving around. Thikana is located at S 85 on Kanpur Road, right near the RTO office. It’s a spot where people stop by when they’re tired from all the paperwork or long hours of driving. We’ve been running this place for a bit, and it’s mostly just us trying to keep things moving. The area is always noisy, but inside we try to keep it steady. We don’t do anything too complicated here. We just serve the food and make sure there’s a place to sit. Sometimes the RTO office crowd fills the place up, and other times it’s just the drivers passing through on Kanpur Road. We see a lot of faces every day, mostly people who just want a break before they get back on the road. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it does the job for us. We keep the kitchen going from morning until late, and there’s always something cooking. It’s hard work being in this part of town because it never really sleeps, but we like being right in the middle of it all. You won’t find any big decorations or anything like that, just a plain spot to eat. We hope people feel okay stopping by for a bit whenever they are in the neighborhood.
