Tfa Academy

You can find us on the 3rd floor of Shagun Palace on Sapru Marg. Lucknow gets pretty busy around this area, so the street noise is a constant backdrop. Tfa Academy is tucked away upstairs, away from the worst of the traffic. It’s mostly just rows of desks and whiteboards. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready for the students who come in for their classes. There is a small lift that sometimes takes a while, so many of us just use the stairs. It’s a good way to wake up, honestly. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief in the summer months. We have a small corner where we keep some books and old files. It isn’t the biggest place, but it works for what we do. Students sit there for hours, scribbling in their notebooks. We try to keep the water cooler filled because everyone gets thirsty. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the shop downstairs. The walls have a few posters on them, but they’ve been there so long no one really looks at them anymore. When the sun starts to set over Lucknow, the light comes through the windows at a weird angle. We pack up our things and lock the main door around evening. It’s a simple routine that we’ve been doing for years. No one here is looking for anything grand, just a quiet place to study and teach.
