Being right on Faizabad Road in Indira Nagar means we deal with a lot of Lucknow traffic every single day. You can hear the horns and the buses from the classrooms sometimes, but you get used to it after a week or two. The school has been part of this area for a long time. It’s a big building, and there’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky tap or a light bulb that finally gave up. We start early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get things ready. The hallways are wide but they fill up fast when the students show up. We have a lot of different people working here, from the guards at the gate to the folks in the office who handle all the forms and fees. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a lot of extra space for fancy things, so every room gets used for something. In the afternoons, when the sun is hitting the Faizabad Road side of the building, it gets quite warm. We just keep the windows open and the fans going. It’s a regular school day, nothing too special about it, just people teaching and kids learning. We see a lot of graduates move on, and then their younger siblings show up a few years later. It’s just a steady cycle that keeps us all busy year after year.
