Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University

This place is right in the heart of Chowk. If you have lived around here for any time at all, you know the Medical College area gets pretty crowded most days. Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University is where most of the learning and the doctoring happens in this part of town. It is not some fancy new office building. It is a big, old institution with a lot of history behind it. You see students running around in their white coats all day long, trying to get to their next class or a clinic. We handle a lot of people coming in from all the surrounding neighborhoods. Sometimes the hallways are packed and things get a bit noisy, but that is just how it is at a big public place like this. The university has been around for quite a while now. Most people just call it the medical college when they are giving directions to a rickshaw driver. It's a landmark, really. We do not have any glossy brochures or anything like that. We just focus on the work that needs doing every single day. There are different departments scattered across the grounds. Finding your way around can be a bit of a puzzle if it is your first time visiting us. But someone is usually around to point you toward the right wing or the office you are looking for. It is a busy life here at Chowk. We see everything from small scrapes to much more serious stuff. It is just how the days go.
