St. Joseph College

Our place is St. Joseph College, and you can find us on Sitapur Road in Lucknow. Being on such a major road means we are always dealing with the sound of cars and trucks going past. It is a very busy part of the city. The college has been standing here for quite some time, and the building shows its age in some spots. We have high ceilings and long corridors that get very cold in the winter and stay quite warm in the summer months. We do not have a fancy office with glass walls. It is just a regular school building with chalkboards and wooden desks that have been used by many generations. The staff spends most of the morning dealing with admissions, attendance, and parents who drop by to ask questions. There is always a lot of paperwork on the desks. We do not try to sound like a corporate office. We are just a local educational institution in Lucknow. During the breaks, the courtyard is full of students talking and eating their lunch. It gets very loud for about thirty minutes, then everyone goes back to class and it gets quiet again. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams are conducted properly. It is a very normal, everyday kind of life here on Sitapur Road.
