Sodhi Ka Dhaba

You can find Sodhi Ka Dhaba right in the middle of Guru Nanak Market. We are in the Doodh Mandi area of Charbagh in Lucknow. Our address is near the 226004 pin code. We are actually right opposite the Punjabi Swad Hotel, so that makes it easier to spot us. This is a very busy part of Lucknow with the railway station nearby. We serve local food to anyone who walks in. The shop is small and we have a few tables where people sit down to eat quickly. It is often quite loud because of the market and the traffic outside. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy decorations. It is just a regular dhaba with benches and some fans. We cook everything in the back and the smell of the stove is always around. Sometimes we run out of certain dishes by the end of the day because we only make a certain amount. We serve tea and basic meals that people are used to. The floor is concrete and we sweep it out whenever we get a break from the customers. It is a family-run spot and we take turns at the counter. People coming from the station often stop by for a hot meal before they head home. It is a simple life and we just focus on getting the food out on time for whoever is hungry.
