We are based in Shop Number 4 at the Convention Center in Indira Nagar. Being in Lucknow, especially in a busy area like Indira Nagar, means there is always something going on. Our place is a bit different because we also teach people how to do beauty work. It’s not just a parlour. You’ll often see students practicing on mannequins or helping out with small tasks. It gets a bit crowded sometimes with all the kits and chairs, but we make it work. The convention center is a big building, so it’s easy to find us once you are inside. I spend my days switching between doing a customer's hair and explaining a technique to a student. It can be tiring, but I like seeing people learn. The floors are usually covered in a bit of glitter or hair, despite how much we sweep. It’s a place of learning, so it isn't always perfectly quiet. We have people coming from all over Lucknow to learn the trade. I don't use a lot of big words or complicated manuals. I just show them how it’s done with the tools. Indira Nagar is a good place to be for this kind of thing. There are plenty of shops around, so we usually get our supplies from just down the road. It’s a practical, busy little shop.
