Preeti Beauty Parlour & Training Centre

If you walk down towards Kalyanpuri in the Vikas Nagar area, you will find us at No 45. This is where Preeti Beauty Parlour & Training Centre is located. It is a simple setup, nothing like those big malls. We have been here in Lucknow for a bit, and the 226022 area is where we spend all our hours. The training part of the business means there are often students around, learning how to hold the thread or mix the colors. It gets a bit crowded and noisy when everyone is talking at once, but that is just how it goes. I usually start the day by putting out the water and checking the supplies. The chairs are lined up against the wall, and there is always a bit of a smell of hair products in the air. We don't really do much advertising because people in Kalyanpuri just know where we are. It is a practical place. We have the benches for people to wait on and a small desk where we keep the registers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we have to open the doors to let the breeze in. It is not always perfect, but it is our shop. I like seeing the same faces every week. It makes the work feel more like a routine with friends rather than just a job at a counter.
