Pet Pooja Restaurant

Old Picnic Spot Road is where we spend our days in the Indira Nagar area of Lucknow. It’s D-1070, a spot we’ve called home for a good while. The road gets its name for a reason, but for us, it’s just where we work every single day. Pet Pooja Restaurant starts the morning with the milk delivery and getting the ovens going. Lucknow can get really hot, so the fans are always spinning at full speed inside. We have a mix of regular tables and some smaller ones tucked into the corners. It isn't a place with a theme or anything like that; we just have walls and a floor and places to sit. The kitchen gets really busy around lunchtime because there are offices nearby. We try to keep the noise down, but with the pots and pans, it's hard. Sometimes the vegetable guy is late and we have to scramble, but that’s just how it goes. The neighborhood is mostly quiet compared to the main city markets, but we still get plenty of foot traffic. We’ve got a small area out front where people sometimes wait if we are full. It's just a regular place where we cook food and serve it to whoever walks through the door. We don't use much technology here, just a pen and a notepad for the orders. It works for us and the people who live around here. We just stay busy and keep the kitchen running.
