This place is located in the Aawas Vikas Market in Indira Nagar, Lucknow. We are at Shop No-9/9, which is quite close to Ekta Girls Inter College. Because we are a training institute too, we often have students around learning the ropes. It makes the shop feel very lively and sometimes a bit crowded with all the young girls practicing their skills. We spend a lot of time showing them how to hold the scissors or how to apply henna properly. It’s not just for people getting their hair done; it’s a learning spot too. The market outside is always busy, especially in the afternoons when the students come out of the college. We’ve been here for a while and have seen many girls move on to start their own small shops. The parlor itself is busy with regular customers who come for their monthly threading or hair coloring. We try to keep everything organized, but with classes going on, there are always books and kits lying around. It’s a practical environment. We don’t use any corporate talk or big promises. We just teach what we know and do the hair and makeup for whoever walks through the door. It’s a lot of hard work standing on your feet all day, but seeing a student finally get a technique right makes it worth the effort.
