Metro Restaurant & Bar

We've been here on Latouche Road for a while now. It gets busy because the Charbagh railway station is right there. You see all sorts of people coming in after their train gets in. Some just want a quick drink and a place to sit for a bit before they head off to another part of the city. Gautam Budh Marg is always loud, so it's a bit of a change once you step inside. We keep the kitchen running for most of the day. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Lucknow, but we manage. My cousin helps out with the bar side of things. It's not a fancy place, just somewhere to eat. We get a lot of regulars who work in the nearby shops too. They usually come by for lunch and stay to talk about the weather or how crowded the trains were today. The fans are usually on full blast because of the heat. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. If you’re coming from the station, you just walk a little way and you can’t miss us. We try to keep things simple and just get the food out on time so nobody misses their next ride. It is just a normal spot for people who are hungry and in a hurry around the station area.
