Matar Gashti

You can find us at Plot Number-12 on Kanpur Road. We are over in the Aashiyana part of Lucknow, specifically near Smriti Vihar. It’s a decent spot, though the traffic on the main road can be a real headache sometimes. I started this place because I wanted somewhere for people to just hang out without a lot of fuss. The name Matar Gashti kind of says it all, just wandering around and having a bit of fun. We have some seating and we try to keep the place tidy, though on busy weekends it gets a bit messy with everyone coming in at once. Lucknow is a place where people love their food and their talk, so we get a lot of both here. I’m usually around the counter or checking on things in the back. It isn't some high-end lounge with velvet curtains. It's more of a local hangout where you can see your neighbors or meet a friend. The weather here in Aashiyana gets really hot, so the fans are almost always running. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just a small team of us trying to keep the customers happy. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery is late, but that's just how running a small business goes. We’re just here doing our thing on Kanpur Road every day.
