Maa Annapurna The Curry

Maa Annapurna The Curry is located on the 1st floor of Shiva Plaza in Aliganj. Being near the Engineering college chouraha means we see a lot of young people and students every single day. Lucknow can get really hot in the summer, so being up on the first floor away from the street dust helps a bit. We are just a small team of people cooking for the neighborhood. Most of the time, we are busy preparing gravies and chopping vegetables in the back. The space in Shiva Plaza is simple and we haven't done much to change it since we moved in. It is a practical spot for someone who wants a meal without any fuss. We see the same faces often, especially the hostel kids who are tired of their own canteen food. It gets quite loud during lunch hours when the classes let out at the college. We don't use any fancy machines, just regular gas stoves and basic kitchen tools. People usually find us by word of mouth or just by walking past the plaza. Aliganj is a busy part of Lucknow and there are many places to eat, but we just do our own thing here. We don't have a big office or a manager in a suit, it is just us in our aprons making sure the curry is ready on time for the hungry crowd.
