Kunwar Asif Degree College Garhi Jindaur

This place is out in Rahimabad, which is a bit of a drive from the main Lucknow city. It’s a degree college, so we see a lot of older students coming in from Garhi Jindaur and the surrounding areas. The surroundings are mostly fields and some local houses, so it’s fairly peaceful. The building itself is quite simple. We don’t have a lot of flashy signage or modern architecture. It’s just bricks and mortar. Inside, the rooms are basic with enough space for everyone to sit. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual college administration. Registrations, marks sheets, that kind of thing. It’s not a corporate office, so things move at their own pace. Sometimes we have to wait for things to get fixed. The rainy season makes the roads around here a bit difficult, but everyone still makes it to class. We have a small courtyard where people gather. It’s an honest kind of place. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We provide the space for the local kids to get their degrees without having to go all the way into the city center. The staff here are mostly local too, so everyone knows everyone else’s family. It’s more like a community hub than a big institution. We just do our bit every day.
