KAKIS RESTAURANT

In Lucknow, over in Indira Nagar, you can find our place at C-1175. We are right by the Arawali crossing. It’s a busy spot with cars and bikes always passing by. We opened this restaurant because we wanted to have a place in the neighborhood where people could just grab a meal without any fuss. It isn't a huge place, just a regular local spot. We do a lot of the work ourselves, from buying the ingredients at the market to making sure the tables are set. The Indira Nagar area has a lot of people living nearby, so we see a lot of families. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when everyone shows up at once on a Sunday evening, but we manage. We don't have any fancy mission or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the food tastes like it should and that the plates are clean. The kitchen is small, so we have to be organized. It gets a bit hot in there during the Lucknow summers, but we keep the fans going. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in the city, just a reliable one for the people near Arawali crossing. It’s a simple life, running a kitchen and talking to the regulars. Most of our customers are people we see every week, and that’s the best part of being here in this part of Lucknow. We just keep the doors open.
