We are located over in Jankipuram Vistar, right near where the Delhi Public School is. You can usually hear the school bells ringing or the kids shouting during their break times. Our building at 6/788 is a plain one. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of whatever we’re working on that day. It’s a practical space. We have some heavy tables for the work and a few metal shelves for the parts. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the big side door open to let a breeze in. The floor has some oil stains here and there that won't come out no matter how much we scrub. We’ve been in this area for a bit and we've seen it change as more houses went up. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, one of us will just look up from what we're doing and talk to you. We keep a small fridge for cold water and that’s about it for extras. The paperwork usually piles up on the corner desk until Saturday when we finally sort it all out. It’s just a place where things get made or fixed. We don't spend much on decorations. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar from three years ago that nobody took down. We stay until the job is done for the day and then we head home. It is a simple life here near the school.
