About Jai Balaji Punjabi Paratha Point – Tourism in Lucknow
If you know the Lekhraj Market-2 area in Indira Nagar, you’ve probably walked past that big Peepal tree near us. We are tucked into the lower ground floor at Lgf-176 right on Faizabad Road. It’s a bit of a basement spot, so it stays a little cooler when the Lucknow sun is really beating down outside. We specialize in parathas, mostly because that’s what people around here want when they’re hungry and in a hurry. The kitchen is small, but we make it work. Every morning, we start by kneading the dough and getting the fillings ready. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually covered in flour by ten in the morning. Being near the market means we get all sorts of people, from shoppers to shop owners who need a quick meal. The noise from Faizabad Road never really stops, so there is always a hum of traffic in the background while we work. We don’t have a big menu with a hundred things on it. We just stick to the parathas and a few other things we can do properly. It’s not a place where you’d go for a quiet candlelit dinner, but it’s fine for a solid lunch. Sometimes the line gets long, and we have to ask people to wait a bit, but mostly it moves fast. It is just a regular local eating point for the neighborhood folks.
