J. B. Modern Rice Mills

J. B. Modern Rice Mills is located on Hardoi Road. We are situated near the Kapoorthala bus stop, so it’s a place many people pass by every day on their way to work or home. Even though the name says "modern," we are still a very hands-on kind of place. Milling rice takes a lot of effort and we have a small crew that handles everything from unloading to the final packing. The noise of the mill is something you just get used to after a week or two of working here. We don't really have a lot of time for sitting around because there is always another batch of grain waiting to be processed. Hardoi Road can get quite busy, especially in the mornings, but we have our routine down pretty well by now. We aren't interested in being flashy or sounding like a big corporation. We just want to keep the mill running smoothly and make sure the work gets done correctly. It's a practical business, and we treat it that way. Every day is pretty much the same, which is fine by us. We see the same faces and do the same tasks, and that's how we like it. If you're looking for us, just look for the building near the bus stop where all the activity is. We’ll probably be inside working on the next load.
