HANDI BIRYANI WALA

If you’re around Purania chauraha in Aliganj, you’ll probably see HANDI BIRYANI WALA. We are at Sec G C 19, right opposite the Indus scane. Lucknow 226024 is where we call home. It’s a busy corner, and there’s always something happening outside on the street. We aren’t a big fancy establishment by any means. It’s a small operation, mostly focused on the biryani we make every day. The pots are big, and the kitchen is usually full of steam and heat. We start early in the morning because the cooking takes a lot of time to get right. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know how things work around here. People come by for a quick lunch or take things home for their dinner. It’s a very local vibe. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything like that. The sign outside is simple. We just want to serve the food and keep the shop running. The 226024 area has its own pace, and we just fit into that. Sometimes we run out of biryani before the day is even over, which is just how it goes sometimes. We don't have a mission statement or anything; we just show up and cook. The floor might be a bit worn down, and the paint on the walls isn't perfect, but it's a real place. We’ve been here at this Aliganj spot for a while now and plan to stay. It’s just our way of making a living in the city.
