Florence Nightingale Inter College

Florence Nightingale Inter College is situated on Sitapur Road in the Triveni Nagar II area of Lucknow. It is a typical local school building that has grown over the years to accommodate more students from the surrounding colony. We are right in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so most of the kids who come here live within walking distance or just a short cycle ride away. The building has several floors with classrooms that look out over the street. We have a small courtyard area where students gather in the mornings for their assembly before heading inside. It’s a bit of an older building, so there is always some maintenance work needing to be done, like a fresh coat of paint or fixing a leaky tap in the washrooms. The teachers are mostly people from Lucknow who have a lot of experience with the state board syllabus. We aren't a corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just a neighborhood college where the staff knows most of the parents by name. During the summer, it gets quite hot in the rooms, but we have fans running all day to keep things moving. We focus on the core subjects required for the inter exams. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise and energy, which is what you expect when you have a couple hundred students in one building on a main road.
