Falaknuma Restaurant

We operate inside the Hotel Clarks Avadh at 8-M.G. Marg here in Lucknow. Being part of this building means we have seen a lot of people come through those doors over the years. The area around 226001 is quite historic and stays busy during the day. Most of us here have been working in this kitchen for quite a long time. We start our shifts by checking the stock and getting the tables set up properly for the guests. It is a bit of a walk through the hotel to get to where we are, but once you are here, it is a different pace. We look out over the city and the river, which is a nice view to have while we work. The pace can get quite fast when there are events going on downstairs or when the hotel is full. We focus on the cooking and making sure the plates are clean and ready. It is not about being flashy; it is just about doing the job right. The staff mostly keeps to themselves, focusing on the prep work and the daily service. Sometimes the weather in Lucknow gets really dusty, and we have to spend extra time cleaning the windows and the outdoor areas. It is a routine we have mastered. We are not trying to be anything we are not. We just run a restaurant on MG Marg and try to keep things steady for anyone who walks in. The light changes throughout the day.
