Chung Fa Restaurants

We are located right on Gole Market Road in Mahanagar. Most people know the Universal Book Depot, so we just tell them we are near that. It has been our spot for a long time now. Lucknow has changed a lot, but this corner stays pretty much the same. We open up the shutters every morning and start prep in the back. It is a family-run kind of thing. You will usually see the same faces if you come in on a Tuesday or a Saturday. The tables are simple and we do not go for anything too flashy. We just want the food to be hot when it hits the table. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially near the New Goal Market area, but inside it is okay. We keep the menus simple so people do not get confused by too many choices. We use a lot of local ingredients we find at the market nearby. It is not a big corporate chain or anything like that. Just a restaurant where you can sit down and have a meal. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the morning delivery is late. It happens. We just let the customers know. The floor has some scuffs from all the chairs moving around over the years. We clean it every night, of course. It is just a regular place to eat in Lucknow. We hope people feel okay when they are here. It is a lot of work.
