Being on Lucknow Road means there is never a quiet moment. The trucks and cars are constantly whizzing by outside our door. We started Ankur Food Products because there was a need for local stuff here, and we've just kept at it. It’s not a big operation. Most of the time, it's just a few of us in the back working on the latest batch. We have to keep an eye on the clock because the sun goes down fast and the road gets even busier then. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but it does the job. We don’t spend much on marketing or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in. Sometimes we run out of certain ingredients and have to wait for the delivery from the city, which can be frustrating. We do our best to keep things moving. The work is repetitive, day in and day out, but it pays the bills. We take pride in just being a local spot that people can rely on without any fuss. Usually, we're just focused on getting the orders ready and making sure the packaging is tight so nothing spills. It’s a basic setup, nothing like those big factories you see in magazines, but it’s ours and we work hard at it every single day.
