Our school is tucked away in Viraj Khand 5, which is part of the Gomti Nagar area in Lucknow. Being in the 226002 pin code means we see a lot of local traffic, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing. It’s quite a large building, and we have a lot of rooms to look after. The staff here is mostly people from around Lucknow who’ve been with us for a good bit of time. We don't really go in for those glossy brochures you see everywhere these days. Instead, we just focus on the day-to-day stuff that happens inside these walls. There’s usually a lot of noise during the lunch breaks, which is expected with so many kids. We have a routine that we follow, starting early and wrapping up by the afternoon. The garden needs a lot of water in the summer because Lucknow gets really dry and dusty. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just manage with what we have. People know us as the school in Viraj Khand. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s a place where kids come to learn and we try to keep the place tidy. Most of the time, you'll find someone at the front desk dealing with some paperwork or talking to a parent about a lost sweater. It’s a steady pace of life. We like being part of the Gomti Nagar community. It feels like home to most of us working here.
