Adarsh Public Inter College

Our college, Adarsh Public Inter College, is located in Sector H of the LDA Colony in Lucknow. We are right near the Aashiyana Chauraha, which is a very busy intersection. There is always a lot of noise from the shops and the traffic outside our gate. The building has a few floors and is quite typical for this part of Lucknow. Inside, we have a lot of classrooms filled with wooden desks and benches. The hallways are often crowded during the breaks because we have many students. We don't have a large playground, just a small open area where the students park their cycles. Most of our teaching follows the UP board requirements. We focus heavily on the core subjects and preparing the older students for their board exams. The teachers here have a lot of experience and they don't use much fancy technology. It’s mostly books, notebooks, and lots of writing. During the summer, we keep the ceiling fans going full speed to deal with the Lucknow heat. We don't have a big office for admissions, just a small room where the principal and the clerks sit. Most parents in the Aashiyana area know us because we have been here for years. We aren't trying to be a fancy international school. We are just a regular inter college providing a place for local kids to finish their schooling. It’s a busy, practical place.
