M.D Machine Tools

Our shop is located at No.3, right near the Old Ajanta building in the Industrial Area. It’s a place where there’s always a smell of oil and cut metal in the air. M.D Machine Tools is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not the quietest neighborhood, with all the other factories around us humming and banging away. We focus on machine tools, the kind of things other businesses need to keep their own production going. We have some old lathes and a few newer pieces of equipment that we treat pretty carefully. The floor is concrete and has some cracks that have been there for years. We don't really bother fixing them because they don't get in the way. It’s a practical space. Most of our customers are from right here in the same industrial zone. We know them by name, and they know us. Sometimes we trade tools or help each other out when someone is short-staffed. That’s just how it works around here. M.D Machine Tools isn't a corporate giant. We’re just a small team. We wear our overalls and get to it every morning. It’s noisy and greasy, but it’s our living. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just have our workshop and our reputation with the guys down the street. There's a guy who comes around with a cart selling snacks in the afternoon, which is nice.
