Our showroom is located at number 2 Cie in Bala Nagar, right near the Amar Jyothi pump. It is a pretty easy place to spot if you are driving by that way. The building is older, but it serves us well for what we do. Inside, we have laid out the showroom so there is space to walk around, though sometimes we get a big shipment and then things get a bit cluttered for a few days. The air in Bala Nagar can be quite dusty because of all the traffic and the nearby shops, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the display items. It feels like a never-ending job. We usually open up early before the sun gets too hot, as the front of the shop gets a lot of light. We have a small desk in the back where we handle the accounts and talk to suppliers on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out in this area, and then we just sit and wait with the doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. It is a straightforward business, and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. We just show up every day, open the shutters, and see who comes through the door. It’s a good neighborhood to be in, and we like the people who live and work around here. Dealing with the paperwork at the end of the day can be a bit of a drag, but it's part of the routine.
