Being located at Plot No. 281 in Ward 12/B puts us right in the heart of Gandhidham. If you know anything about this part of Kachchh, you know it’s all about the shipping and the movement of goods. We do import and export work. Our office is usually piled high with papers, shipping manifests, and customs documents. It isn't a very glamorous job. We spend a lot of time on the telephone or typing out emails to people in different time zones. The wind here carries a lot of salt and dust from the surroundings, so we are always dusting off the desks. We don't have a big fancy lobby. It's just a practical space where we can coordinate where containers are going and when they will arrive. We have to deal with the port a lot, which can be a headache with all the delays and paperwork involved. Most of us here have been working in logistics for a long time, so we understand how the system works, even when it’s being difficult. We don't use big words or fancy marketing. We just help move products from one place to another. It’s about making sure the trucks are scheduled and the labels are correct. Some days it feels like we are just drowning in paperwork, but then a shipment clears and it starts all over again the next day. It is just the way business goes here.
