Our company, Van-Bent Minerals Pvt. Ltd., is located at Plot No. 74 inside Jaysomnath Appartment on Hospital Road in Vijay Nagar. It is a bit of an unusual spot for a mineral company because we are right in the middle of a residential area and near the hospital. It isn’t like being tucked away in a dusty industrial zone. The location makes it easy for the staff to get to work without a long commute. Even though we are a private limited company, we are just a small group of people who know a lot about minerals. Our office space is usually filled with bags of samples and a lot of paperwork on the desks. We spend most of the day on the phone or checking the logs. Because we are on Hospital Road, there is always a lot of traffic and people walking past the building. We have to be very organized when we bring materials in or out so we don't block the road for the neighbors or the ambulances. We don’t have a corporate culture with fancy titles. We just talk to each other across the room and drink a lot of chai. Sometimes people stop by just to ask what we do. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of simple chairs. It is a practical way to work and it fits our needs perfectly. We have been here for years.
