Vignan High School

Vignan High School sits over in Hbs Colony in Yemmiganur. It’s a pretty standard setup for a school in this part of the world. We’ve got the usual classrooms and a small area for the kids to play and run around during their breaks. It gets quite hot here in the afternoons, so we try to get the most important lessons done early in the day before the heat really sets in. The building isn't anything fancy, just some concrete walls and a lot of windows to let the air move through. We have a mix of teachers, some who have been here since the start and some younger ones just starting their teaching careers. It’s a busy place. Between the morning assembly and the final bell in the afternoon, there isn't much quiet time at all. We don't have a big budget for extras, so we focus on the books and the lessons. Parents come in to talk to us quite a bit. They want to know if their children are actually listening in class or just staring out the window. We try to be honest with them about how things are going. Some kids are great at math, while others just want to be outside playing in the dirt. We don’t promise anything impossible to anyone. We just provide the space and the teachers to help them get through their exams. It’s a decent place to spend the day.
