Sai Sree Degree College

Our college is situated right near the Venkateshwara Swami Temple here in the Dhone area. If you are coming from anywhere in the Karnool district, you just look for the temple and you will find us easily enough. It is a relatively quiet part of Andhra Pradesh, though it certainly gets crowded during the big festival times. Sai Sree Degree College has been here for a good number of years now, helping local students get their degrees without having to travel all the way to the big cities like Hyderabad. The building is simple and we have classrooms that stay fairly cool even when the sun is out in full force during the summer months. We do not have any big flashy signs or polished marble lobbies. It is just a practical place for learning. The staff mostly comes from the surrounding villages and towns. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, so we just open all the windows and keep going with the lectures as best as we can. Being so close to the temple means we hear the morning bells every day, which is a nice way to start the work. Most people around here know us as the local spot for higher studies. We are just providing a space for whoever wants to learn.
