S.V.E.C

S.V.E.C is our family business here in Panyam, located at House Number 4-53. My father, Haridas, started it years ago and I, Partha Saradhi, am the one keeping it running these days. We are right in the heart of the Kurnool district. It is not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a part of the house where we have set up our workspace. We take on local contracts and help out with whatever construction or electrical work is needed around the village area. People know us well here, so they usually just walk up to the front door when they have a problem that needs fixing. We don't really do any advertising or promotional stuff. If you do a decent job, the next person will hear about it anyway. That is how we have managed to stay busy for so many years. Sometimes the supplies arrive late because the roads are in bad shape, but we always make do with what we have. We have a small crew of local men who work with us on various sites. They are more like friends than employees to us. We often eat lunch together under the big tree outside when it gets too hot to stay in the office. It is a practical life. We don't have any grand missions. We just want to finish the work.
