Rama Krishna Vidya Mandir

Rama Krishna Vidya Mandir is located in Lakshmipuram, which is near Kallur in the Kurnool district. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, away from the main city rush. The school sits on a piece of land that has plenty of sun and open air. We have some basic classroom blocks that were built at different times, so they don’t all look exactly the same. Some are newer and some have been around since the school first started. The kids come from Lakshmipuram and some of the other nearby settlements. They usually arrive by foot or by the local transport. We have a small staff of teachers who live nearby and have been with us for many terms. There is a playground where the children spend their breaks, and it’s mostly just dirt and some grass that grows when it rains. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the standard chalkboards and wooden benches. The daily routine is pretty much the same every week. We start with the morning assembly and then go straight into the lessons. It’s a very grounded place where the focus is just on basic education. People in Kallur know us as a steady part of the community. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local school providing a place for the neighborhood children to learn and grow up together without any big or unnecessary complications.
