About A P Social Welfare Residential School – Education in Kurnool
Out here in Yemmiganur, our school functions as a home for many students who come from all over the surrounding areas. The K G B V School campus is a big part of the local community, and it's a place that never really sleeps. Since it’s a residential school, there is always someone around, whether it’s the night watchman or the kitchen staff starting the morning fires. The buildings are spread out a bit, with the dorms on one side and the classrooms on the other. You can see the wear and tear on the walls and the floors because so many people live here year-round. We don't have a lot of luxury, just the basics like sturdy beds, big dining tables, and enough space for everyone to study. The weather in Yemmiganur can be quite harsh, so we spend a lot of time making sure the water supply is working and that the fans are running in the dorms. The days are very structured, starting with morning exercise and ending with supervised study halls in the evening. We have to keep a close eye on the kitchen to make sure the meals are ready on time for hundreds of hungry students. It’s a lot of responsibility, and things don't always go perfectly, but we manage as well as we can. The noise of students talking and laughing is just a constant background sound for anyone who works here.
