Travel Himalayas

We are located in the Log Huts area of Manali, which is a bit quieter than the main market. It’s near the HPTDC buildings, so it’s easy enough to find if you know that part of town. Travel Himalayas is where we work from every day. It’s a nice area with more trees and less of the honking from the Mall Road. We spend our time talking to people who want to see the higher parts of the mountains. Our office is simple, just some chairs and a desk where we keep our records. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people who come to us are looking for a way to get out of the crowded spots. We know the local roads and the hidden places that aren't on every map. The morning air is cold here even in the summer, so the tea kettle is always going. We might be busy on the phone or just sitting and waiting for a group to return from a trip. It’s a steady kind of life. We’ve seen the town change a lot over the years, but the Log Huts area still feels a bit like the old days. We just focus on getting people where they want to go without making a big fuss about it. It’s honest work and we enjoy being out here in the fresh air. Sometimes the monkeys cause a bit of trouble on the roof, but that's just Manali. (253 words)
