Himalayan Mountrails

Himalayan Mountrails is located at Shop Number 2 in the Govinda Complex. This is right on the Mall Road in Manali, near where Old Mission Road starts. It is a small shop, but it serves us well for what we do every day. Being on Mall Road means there is a lot of foot traffic, and we see people from all over the world walking past. We have a simple desk and a few chairs for visitors. Most of our work involves planning out routes through the mountains and making sure the transport is lined up. Manali is our home, so we know these streets and the surrounding trails by heart. The Govinda Complex is a familiar building for locals, and being at Shop Number 2 makes us easy to find. It gets pretty cold in the winter, so we usually have a small heater tucked under the desk. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It is just a few of us handling the phones and talking to travelers. Sometimes the monkeys on Old Mission Road cause a bit of a stir outside, but that is just normal life here. We focus on the practical side of travel, like which roads are open and what the weather is doing. It is a steady job that keeps us connected to the mountains we see every morning when we open the shop door. We enjoy the local atmosphere here in the shop.
