The Himalayan Guide

Our place is on the Mall Road, right near the Model Town area of Manali. It’s a decent spot because we’re close to the main stuff but also near the residential part of the town. We’ve been guiding people around the Kullu valley for quite a few years now. It started small, just a couple of us who knew the trails and the roads. Now we have a little more to do, but it’s still the same basic idea. We aren't some polished travel corporation. We’re just local people who know the mountains. We talk to travelers about where to go and what to avoid. Sometimes the traffic on the Mall Road is a nightmare, but you get used to it. We keep our office open late during the busy season because people are always arriving at odd hours. We don't have fancy brochures with photoshopped pictures. We just tell you what the places look like right now. If there’s a lot of mud on a trail, we’ll let you know. We think it’s better to be honest than to have someone unhappy later. Most of our work comes from people who heard about us from someone else. We just try to keep things moving and help people enjoy their time in the mountains. It's a simple business but it keeps us busy through the year.
