Himalayan Trails Adventure Tours & Travel

Old Manali has a different feel than the rest of the town. We are located in the B O Dragon Market area, which is always full of people walking around with backpacks and heavy boots. Himalayan Trails Adventure Tours & Travel is basically a small shop where we keep our trekking gear and talk about the mountains. It’s not a polished place. We have boots in the corner and ropes hanging up on the walls. Most days start with checking the sky to see what the weather is doing up higher. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and looking at a map on the wall. We help people plan their walks or find a guide who knows the trails well. It’s a lot of work making sure everything is ready for a trip. Sometimes the gear gets muddy and we have to spend the afternoon cleaning it all up before the next group takes it out. The Dragon Market gets really lively in the evenings when everyone comes back from their day trips. We stay open pretty late most days because that’s when people like to come in and chat about where they want to go next. It’s a simple business. We like the outdoors and we like being in Old Manali where things are a bit more relaxed. There’s always someone coming in with a story about a trail they found. (250 words)
