Himalayan Mysteries

Himalayan Mysteries is situated over on Vashist Road in the Koshla area of Manali. We are a bit further away from the main center of town, which we actually prefer because it is a little quieter. Manali has a lot of little corners and paths that visitors don't usually find on their own. We have lived in this part of the world for many years now and know the local tracks around Koshla very well. Vashist Road is always busy with people walking up to see the temples or heading to the hot springs for a soak. We mostly talk to people who are looking for something a bit different than the standard tourist sights. Our operation is small. On most days, you will only find one or two of us in the office. We don't have any flashy signs or anything. The mountains here have a lot of history, which is where we got the name for the business. People come in to ask about the hiking trails, and we just tell them what we have seen ourselves lately. It isn't always easy work, especially when the monsoon rains start and the roads get muddy. But we enjoy being here. We don't do things in a corporate way. We just take each day as it comes. If someone wanders into the shop, we sit down, have a talk, and see what they are looking for. It’s a slow pace of life but it suits the mountains just fine.
