Slate - The School

Slate - The School is tucked away at Door No 385/2H in the Tg Towers area, right on Vrr Vignesh Height Lane in Poranki, Vijayawada. It’s a bit of a specific location, so we often have to give people directions when they first visit. The lane is usually pretty quiet, which is good for the students. We’ve got a vertical setup here because of the way the land is built, so there’s a lot of taking the stairs throughout the day. The building is modern enough, but we don't treat it like a corporate office. It’s full of charts, drawings, and the usual school clutter. We have a small space where the teachers sit and have their coffee between classes. Most of us live in the Poranki or Penamaluru area, so we don't have a long commute. The kids are mostly from the nearby apartment complexes and houses. We spend our time making sure the schedules are followed and the kids are actually in their seats. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a big fancy field, but we make use of the space we have for physical activities. Sometimes the humidity in Vijayawada gets to us, but the ceiling fans in the rooms are always going full blast. It’s just a regular spot where people come to learn and we come to work every single day without much fuss. We're just local staff doing our thing.
