A. G. & S. G. S. Degree College

Our place is located at No. 7-302 right here in Vuyyuru. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the bigger cities in Andhra Pradesh, but we stay quite busy throughout the week. The college building has been part of this landscape for a while. You can see it as you come down the main road. We have a lot of students coming in from the nearby villages every morning. Most of them take the local buses or ride cycles. The classrooms are simple with big windows to let the breeze in, which helps a lot when it gets humid. We have some trees in the yard where people hang out between their classes. It is mostly just a regular daily routine here. We open the gates early, the office staff starts sorting through the ledgers, and the lecturers head to their rooms. There is always someone looking for a specific form or asking about the next set of exams. We try to keep the grounds tidy, though the rain sometimes makes the paths a bit muddy. It feels like a small community because everyone knows each other’s names. We don’t have any flashy signs or high-tech gates, just the usual stone walls and a sign at the entrance. It is a place where local kids come to get their degrees and then move on to whatever is next in their lives.
