Vv Stones Llp is located over in Thikkodi, right at Door No. Xi/740 A. If you know the Kozhikode area, you know how difficult it gets during the monsoon season. Everything slows down. We keep the yard running as best as we can when it is pouring rain outside. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but we actually like the location. The air feels a bit different being near the coast. We started this because there was a clear need for local stone supply without people having to drive all the way into the main city center. Our office is small, just enough space for a couple of chairs and the ledger books we use for tracking. We do not really have a big sign out front, just the address painted on the gate. Sometimes new drivers miss it on their first trip. Our daily routine is mostly checking the inventory and talking to the guys who bring the loads in. They always have stories about the traffic on the way from Kozhikode. We drink a lot of black tea in the afternoons to stay sharp. The floor is always covered in a bit of grit from the stone samples we keep on the shelves. It is a practical business for practical people. No one wears a suit here. We are usually in boots and old shirts. It is just a few of us trying to get things right.
