Feroke Tiles

Our shop is located in Madhura Bazaar on BC Road in Cheruvannur. It is an area where people know each other, so we see a lot of familiar faces every day. We deal with tiles, the kind you see on a lot of the roofs and floors around here. The inventory is kept in the back and we have some samples out front for people to look at. It is a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We do not use any high-tech systems; we just write things down and keep track of the stock by looking at the stacks. The air in Cheruvannur can get a bit humid, so we keep the fans going all day long. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to move everything back from the entrance so it does not get soaked. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the people who come to Madhura Bazaar can find the tiles they need for their houses. My nephew helps me out with the heavy lifting on the weekends. We have a lot of conversations with the regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask about the current prices. It is a simple life running a tile shop on BC Road. We open up, sweep the floor, and wait to see who comes in.
