We deal with stones, which is pretty straightforward work. It gets dusty and the trucks make a lot of noise, but that’s the business. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a person answering phones with a script. When you call, you just get one of us. Usually, someone is out back moving things around. We started this because we had the space and the materials were right here. It’s not a complicated setup. We just keep track of what comes in and what goes out. Some days are slow, others we can barely keep up with the orders. That’s just how it is with stone. It’s honest work, and we like it that way. No one here wears a suit. We wear boots and old clothes because you’re going to get dirty anyway. We’ve been in this Kaitholmeethal spot for a good while now. It’s home and work all mixed together. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. Just a local stone yard doing its thing for the people nearby. We also have a couple of dogs that hang around the yard. They aren't much for security, but they're good company while we're working. We share a meal together at noon and then get back to it.
