We are located out in Kolathara, right by the NH-17 highway. Being near the main road means there is a constant sound of vehicles rushing past our gate. It’s a decent spot for getting our footwear shipments out, though. The building itself is pretty straightforward, just a large space where we handle all the production. Inside, you’ll see people busy with cutting, stitching, and packing. It gets quite humid here in Kerala, so we have the fans going all day long, but it still feels stuffy when the sun is out. We have a small crew that has been around for a long time. We mostly just keep our heads down and work. There isn’t a lot of talk about big plans; we just look at what needs to be finished today. Sometimes the rain gets so heavy we can barely hear each other over the metal roof. Those are the days we slow down a bit and share some snacks. Our office part is just a few desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. It’s not very organized to look at, but we know where everything is. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or corporate talk. It’s just us here near the post office, trying to stay busy and get the footwear ready for the trucks that pull up on the highway.
